Prabhuram Mills was established in 1972 by the renowned cine artist Late Sri Shivaji Ganesan and later became part of KSTCL under the Kerala Sick Textiles Undertaking (Acquisition & Transfer of Undertakings) Act. The mill has an installed capacity of 17,536 ring spindles and primarily produces polyester-cotton blended yarns, which are mainly supplied for the Free School Uniform Program of the Government.
